🖥️ Laptops for Africa – Returns & Warranty Policy (Effective from 01 August 2025)

 

✅ 1. Warranty Coverage All refurbished laptops sold by Laptops for Africa come with a standard 12-month hardware warranty from the date of purchase. You may optionally extend your warranty to 24 months for a once-off fee of R350, payable at checkout or within 30 days of purchase.

🔧 2. What’s Covered

  • Hardware faults not caused by misuse, impact, or liquid damage

  • Battery issues (if reported within the first 3 months)

  • Performance issues with CPU, RAM, storage, or display

  • Internal component failure under normal use conditions

❌ 3. What’s Not Covered

  • Physical or accidental damage, cracked screens, or water exposure

  • Issues caused by user-installed software or viruses

  • Loss or damage to accessories (chargers, keyboards, bags, etc.)

  • Battery failure after 3 months (as it's a consumable)

🔁 4. Return Policy We offer a 7-day return window from the date of delivery for eligible returns. To qualify for a return:

  • The laptop must be in the original condition

  • All packaging and included accessories must be returned

  • You must clearly state the reason for return

Approved returns can be refunded, exchanged, or converted into store credit. Return shipping is the buyer’s responsibility unless the device is faulty on arrival.

Include your:

  • Full name and order number

  • Description of the issue

  • Photos or short video showing the problem

We aim to respond within 1 business day.

🔁 6. Repair or Replacement Process Once approved, your warranty claim will be resolved in one of the following ways:

  • Repair of the laptop within 7–14 business days

  • Replacement with a similar model if repair isn’t feasible

  • Refund or store credit if no suitable replacement is available

🛡️ 7. Extended Warranty Terms Customers who purchase the 24-month extended warranty enjoy the same coverage terms for an additional 12 months. This option is only valid if purchased within 30 days of your original order.
